STENOCACTUS MULTICOSTATUS (BRAIN CACTUS)

Stenocactus multicostatus,the brain cactus,is a member of the cactus family native to the deserts of mexico and is popular in gardening community.it grows upto 2.5-4  inch tall ,2.5 inch wide.the flower is white to purple.this low growing wrinkled cactus species is sometimes classified as echinofossulocactus multicostatus and is also known as wae cactus.it is a low maintenance plant,which thrives in sunny and warm locations.as the name suggests this cactus features multiple narrow ribs.A mature plant can have 100 ribs.in this species you will not find two plants with same number of ribs or shape.its variations differ in shape and flower colours.mature plant of this species form cylindrical shape.this cactus prefers moderate temperatures ranging from -7 to +10 degrees celsius
